Moonshot AI releases Kimi K3.1 Pro, with open weights due by Nov 4
Kimi K3.1 Pro and a faster Highspeed variant are available in Kimi's apps and API, with a 1-million-token context window. Full weights are due by 4 November.
Moonshot AI introduced Kimi K3.1 Pro, which it calls its most capable 3T-class open-weight model to date, with a 1-million-token context window. A Kimi K3.1 Pro Highspeed variant is said to run 2 to 3 times faster.
Both are available on Kimi.ai, Kimi Work, Kimi Code and the Kimi API, and Kimi says the full model weights will be released by 4 November 2026.
Kimi's benchmark claims
Kimi reports a Terminal-Bench 4.0 score of 65.7%, compared with the 58.2% it lists for GPT-6 Astra and 66.4% for Claude Opus 5.5. These are the company's own figures and have not been independently verified.
Cyber capability
Kimi says it removed cyber-related training data from the release. On its in-house xdev-bench-hard benchmark, it reports the final model scores 81.0%, against 90.5% for a checkpoint without that removal.
